Classic Collection has expanded its presence in Turkey with more properties in a new brochure for 2023 as it seeks to support the country following last month’s devastating earthquakes.
The dedicated programme features more than 40 properties, 12 of which are new to the luxury operator on the back increased demand for the country and the value for money offered.
Private gulet charters for groups and families have been introduced Marmaris or Bozburun and rail travel between Istanbul and Paris on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express is featured.
Internal sales, product and commercial director Alex Gavalda said: “The ongoing situation in Turkey is very much at the forefront of our minds. We are reassured by the fact that a significant number of our customers have been seeking information on whether it is still safe to travel to Turkey, which is an encouraging sign that travellers are eager to support the destination at this time.
“Our latest brochure release comes at an important time for Turkey. Moving forwards we are looking forward to supporting the country as much as possible following recent events.
“Our new brochure is the first one to market to display the country name as Turkiye – representing the culture, civilisation and values of the nation – a move which has been greatly appreciated by both the tourist board and our destination partners locally.
“Over the last twelve months Turkey has been performing very well for Classic, with bookings 25% ahead of 2019.”
Gavalda added: “Our new brochure caters for the huge variety of Turkey enquires which our agent partners come to us with – we have the necessary travel expertise, advice and inspiration to deal with more complex itineraries.
“But we also feature the great value luxury beach and family hotels, with high-end service, for which Turkey is known.
“We’ve added 10 new properties in the Bodrum, Dalaman and Antalya areas along with some strong flying options from various regional UK airports.
“Holidaymakers will also benefit from the healthy gains that the pound has made against the Turkish lira, getting 25% more value than 12 months ago and an incredible 180% more value compared to late 2019.”
