First Caribbean itineraries outlined for new ship Sun Princess

Princess Cruises’ largest ship Sun Princess will make its US debut in October 2024 with a series of Caribbean sailings.

The first in a series of Sphere class vessels powered by liquified natural gas (LNG) will be based at Fort Lauderdale in Florida following its maiden season of Mediterranean and Europe cruises after launching in February 2024.

The ship, which is scheduled to call into Southampton on September 22-23 next year, will run a five to 14-day Caribbean itineraries in winter 2024-25.

The 4,300-passenger Sun Princess will sail both eastern and western Caribbean itineraries from Port Everglades which go on sale tomorrow (Wednesday).

Currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, the 175,500-ton, ship will featured new dining, entertainment and activity options.
