The decision to launch an interactive video follows research which show that this type of content leads to a significant increase in engagement and how long consumers spend on a website.
Players can choose to experience local culture, hunt for a treasure and meet the locals with the help of German comedian Henning Wehn.
The adventures go through the city of Leipzig as well as northern and southern Germany, each one offering a different virtual task for the viewer to complete.
Viewers can influence the story line by the choices they make when watching the video.
