Havila Voyages has agreed deals worth €370 million with lenders to refinance its fleet.
The Norwegian coastal cruise operator said the agreements would cover payments to Tersan shipbuilding yard in Turkey, meaning Havila Polaris and Havila Pollux can be delivered, as well as any existing debt.
Havila added it was “a great relief” to refinance its fleet, which means the line has cut financial ties with sanctioned Russian firm GTLK.

Chief executive Bent Martini said: “It has been a demanding period with a lot of uncertainty for the company, employees and not least our guests.
“We are happy to have found a solution.”
The line’s third vessel – Polaris – will now launch by December 29, 2022, while Pollux will come into service by March 22, 2023.
Martini added: “Delivery challenges on the next two ships is very regrettable, especially for everyone who has booked a trip with us and not least for the coastal population.
“It is also very important to get the next two ships into operation, and we are very much looking forward to having a full operation with four ships along the Norwegian coast soon.”
Havila will contact passengers affected by the delays and offer alternative voyages on the two ships currently in service.
