Iberostar is hoping to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 – 20 years ahead of the global target the industry is working towards.

To achieve its target, Iberostar will invest in “innovative and efficient technology”, promote the increase of renewable energy and launch an employee programme to prioritise the use of low-emission vehicles, among other initiatives.

“We are moving forward with a long-term vision, building a profitable company, a fundamental pillar of sustainability, and keeping in mind the positive impact of our work.

“We must move on from commitment towards implementation and for this we need bold, immediate actions such as those we’re setting in motion at Iberostar. Our roadmap is based on science, data, and strong corporate leadership.”
