Escorted touring specialist Insight Vacations has added more European trips to its summer programme.
The expansion in destinations comes as double-vaccinated UK travellers build confidence about holidaying on the Continent this year.
More trips and departures will now be operating in August to countries including Iceland, Ireland, Italy, France, Greece, Croatia, Poland and Switzerland.
The move comes ahead of expected government confirmation that double jabbed UK travellers will no longer need to quarantine for up to ten days on return from amber list countries, potentially from July 19.
Insight Vacations is offering discounts of up to 15% on many late summer departures to help travel agents secure bookings.
Many European trips have already started, accompanied by “industry-first” well-being directors to give extra reassurance with the return to travel post-pandemic travel, according to UK and Ireland managing director Chris Townson.
He said: “Fuelled by positive signs that more European destinations will open up to fully-vaccinated UK travellers, we are seeing more confidence, more enquiries and more bookings coming through for travel later in the summer, with Italy, France, Switzerland and Iceland proving most popular.
“We’re also seeing bookings for longer trips – whereas previously our most popular European trips were for 7-10 days, now we’re getting bookings for 14 nights or longer, reflecting travellers’ desires to make their next holiday really count.”
