MSC Cruises to start sailing year-round from Japan

MSC Cruises claims to be offering the largest capacity in Japan by introducing year-round sailings.

The company’s first winter season of itineraries will see MSC Bellissima run departures from Yokohama – the port for Tokyo – from November.

The ship will then homeport in Naha in Japan’s fifth largest island of Okinawa from January to March 2024.

The winter 2023-24 season will see MSC Bellissima sailing to beach destinations in Japan as well as the city of Keelung in Taiwan on cruises of four to five nights in duration.

The vessel is sailing eight- to nine-night summer sailings from  Yokohama this summer – the 15th year of operations from Japan.

Sales opened yesterday (Tuesday) for the first winter season in Japan.

The company said: “With cruises now year-round from Japan, MSC Cruises offers the largest cruise capacity in the region, setting the line on track to become the number one cruise line in the country.”
