A villa holiday specialist founded during the pandemic is to start selling through the trade this month.
SPL Villas features more than 900 rental properties across 100 destinations in Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Turkey.
A trade partnership manager, Anne Clays, has been recruited by the family-run business to engage with agents and provide training support.
An agent portal has also been created to enable retailers to see the exact commission they will earn on each villa booking.
Agents will be offered 10% commission on all bookings as well as 10% deposits for the majority of villas. The company plans to run incentives across the year and fam trips.
More than 95% of villas come with a Covid-19 full refund policy should destinations return into lockdown and third party financial protection is in place to guard against insolvency.
Managing director Ed Frampton-Fell said: “Launching to the trade has been part of our business plan and strategy from day one as we know how important travel agent support is to any travel business.
“We have spent the past 15 months establishing our brand and growing our product portfolio and team to a level where we thought our offering would appeal to travel agents.
“We started off with just 300 villas back in January last year – now we sell over 900. Our extensive portfolio of Mediterranean villas combined with our new agent partnerships manager, agent training module and agent portal, now position is as a strong villa partner for travel agents.”
