Not in the Guidebooks agrees Gold Medal brand tie-in

Gold Medal’s specialist adventure and touring brand Incredible Journeys has agreed a tie-in with Not in the Guidebooks.

The partnership gives agents the opportunity to access Not in the Guidebooks’ portfolio of authentic and sustainable travel experiences and package them with flights.

Agents will be able to book special interest holidays as well as package holidays to destinations including Lapland.

Gold Medal and its specialist brands, including Cruise Plus, will also be able to include day experiences available from Not in the Guidebooks in package bookings.

Carol Savage, chief executive of Not in the Guidebooks, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Gold Medal and Incredible Journeys. Given that they are one of the largest Independent B2B tour operators in the UK, it’s great that they have recognised us as a key partner to supply them with our extensive portfolio of experiential and sustainable travel experiences and itineraries.

“Agents can now package a Gold Medal and Incredible Journeys holiday with any of our authentic local experiences, that range from taking an off the beaten track multi-day adventure, in order to have a more immersive experience into the local culture of a destination, to adding a few day trips into a holiday itinerary to support local communities and environments.

“When agents are asked by their clients for something authentic and interesting do whilst they’re on holiday, we want them to think of Not in the Guidebooks.”

Gold Medal managing director Simon Applebaum added: “Not in the Guidebooks gives us access to an amazing wealth of product that is perfectly suited for all our brands, particularly Incredible Journeys.

“We are seeing more and more holidaymakers and travellers wanting new experiences and the opportunity to discover new cultures. This new partnership will give agents and customers a huge amount of choice in so many areas.”

TTA member Joan Jones, of Once in a Lifetime Holidays, said: “A tie up between Incredible Journeys, Gold Medal, Cruise Plus and Not in the Guidebooks is brilliant news. We love the experiences and itineraries that Not in the Guidebooks feature but, as we don’t have an Atol, we have struggled to package them with flights.

“We work closely with Gold Medal, so this partnership is a real game changer for us.”
