Single room supplements are being scrapped at 27 UK hotels used by Shearings.
No single room supplement will be charged for solo travellers staying in single-occupancy rooms at the selected hotels.
The offer is applicable to both coach holidays and self-drive hotel breaks.
Double/twin rooms designed for two people to share will still incur a supplement for sole occupancy.
The Coast & Country Hotels with no single room supplement can be found in popular UK destinations, stretching from Fort William in Scotland to St Mawes in Cornwall.
Shearings’ head of retail sales Ashley Dellow said: “We absolutely understand why hotels charge a single supplement but it’s really good news that we can now offer a great selection of UK holidays with no single room supplement.
“The number of customers choosing to travel solo is increasing year-on-year and we’re pleased to be able to encourage this.
“Customers shouldn’t be put off going on holiday because they have no one to share a room with, or they prefer privacy.”
He added: “There is limited availability on single-occupancy rooms at each hotel, and agents should urge their customers to book early to secure their preferred dates with no supplement.”
