Virgin Voyages third ship Resilient Lady has completed final sea trials ahead of entering service in the Mediterranean this summer.
The disclosure came as the line reported its strongest ever bookings day last week after the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) lifted its Covid cruise heath notice.
Tests to Resilient Lady continue in conjunction with Italian shipyard Fincantieri covering safety systems, automation, power generation and propulsion after its return to Genoa from a speed trial.
The ship is set to enter service on August 14 from the Athens port of Piraeus on two seven-night itineraries.
Resilient Lady will also run a nine-night cruise before embarking on an 11-night transatlantic repositioning journey from Portugal to Puerto Rico.
Two winter Caribbean itineraries will then be offered from San Juan.
