An agent who joined Tui just before the start of the pandemic has become the company’s agent of the year.
Lisa Webster, based in Kings Lynn, was also ranked regional agent of the year at an awards ceremony in Antalya, Turkey.
She started with Tui in January 2020 after seeing the job posted on LinkedIn, having never worked in the travel industry.

Since then, she has since discovered a love of travelling and a passion for helping customers book their holidays.
East Anglia regional sales manager Ben Touceda said: “Lisa has a drive and passion that is hard to match. She really understands the business strategy and has a natural ability to balance business needs alongside her customer centric beliefs.
“The decision to nominate Lisa was easy when reflecting on all that she has achieved in her travel career of less than three years.
“She wants to the best at what she does and will go over and beyond every time to make sure that she delivers whatever is required of her.
“She is a dream to work with and I am very proud to have her working within my region.”
Webster said: “I still cannot believe that I have won. It just feels very surreal and amazing all in one. Not being with the company that long, I am just so grateful that the company can see my potential and how hard I work.
“This would not be possible without the amazing support I receive for my management and the regional sales manager.”
She urged anyone considering a career in the travel industry to “step out of their comfort zone”.
Webster added: “Customers remember you for being funny and brave and just giving them the best. Be on Facebook, make the videos of you talking, find out what events are happening in your town and show your face. The more you put Tui out there, the more the customers will come to your store.”
