Tunisia tempts tourists with new promotional video

The Tunisian National Tourist Office (TNTO) has started sharing a new promotional video in a bid to boost the country’s tourism sector ahead of the summer.

Its new video, created as part of a joint venture supported by the European Union, showcases what Tunisia has to offers to local and international tourists.

The first charter flights to the country resumed at the end of April, despite restrictions imposed by European source markets, including the UK, due to coronavirus.

Tunisia requires tourists to provide a negative PCR test carried out no more than 72 hours before arrival and comply with its anti-Covid-19 tourism health protocol when visiting.

Those who have received two vaccines or have tested positive for Covid-19 at least six weeks before their departure date are exempt from quarantine on arrival and do not have to present a negative PCR test.

A vaccine rollout campaign prioritising tourism staff in Tunisia such as those working in hotels, restaurants, museums, and archaeological sites, has also begun.

The three-minute promotional video highlights the country’s sandy beaches, water sports and calm waters. The tourist board also highlighted Tunisia’s history and culture, from the UNESCO-listed medinas of Tunis, Kairouan and Sousse to the remains of Carthage on the north coast.
