Universal Orlando has revealed details of classic and modern monsters featured in Dark Universe – one of the five immersive worlds in Universal Epic Universe opening in 2025.
Dark Universe will feature traditional characters such as Dracula, The Wolf Man, Frankenstein’s Monster and the Bride of Frankenstein alongside a new generation of monsters and characters, including Dr Victoria Frankenstein – the great-great-granddaughter of the infamous Henry Frankenstein.
Holidaymakers will venture through Darkmoor – the “ravaged village” within Dark Universe – where they can get made up to look like their favourite monsters and spin through the woods on a family coaster.

Another ride is Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment – described as Universal Orlando’s “most terrifying attraction” – taking guests into the catacombs of Frankenstein Manor, where Dr Victoria Frankenstein conducts her “twisted experiments”.
In the encampment of The Guild of Mystics, guests will be greeted by the Maleva, the guild’s all-knowing seer and leader, who warns them that they bear the mark of the werewolf. Guests then board a wagon and race to escape the werewolves before they become one themselves.
Themed dining and retail locations including Das Stakehaus – run by vampire “familiars” who size up unsuspecting patrons to be part of the vampires’ feast – and The Burning Blade Tavern.
More details about Universal Epic Universe will be revealed in the months ahead.
Universal Parks & Resorts will host a series of pre-opening fam trips to its new Orlando park to educate operator and agent partners before it is unveiled to the public next year.
