AmaWaterways has appointed a new sales executive and is expanding its reservations team by 30% following its “strongest ever” January wave period.
The line has appointed Jennifer Shah (pictured) as sales and marketing support executive, following the promotion of Amiee Boschier to marketing manager. Shah previously worked for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Uniworld River Cruises and returns to the industry following a career break.
Jamie Loizou, managing director, said: “AmaWaterways continues to go from strength to strength [and] these new appointments demonstrate our commitment to supporting the trade in every way possible.
“As well as being a record year for sales, 2024 saw us work with more agency partners than ever before. Our philosophy has always been to offer them the same high level of service that our guests experience on our ships.”
He added: “With new products and multiple ships in the pipeline, this approach is more important than ever, and these new hires ensure we have the resource to continue to offer an industry-leading service.”
Three ships are due to join the AmaWaterways fleet in 2025 and the line is also launching new wellness themed cruises this summer. Two of the new ships will operate the line’s first itineraries in Colombia, while the third will offer sailings on Portugal’s Douro River.
