Updated: Cruise lines offer big savings as part of Black Friday deals

Cruise lines are offering big savings, onboard credit and free transfers as part of an array of Black Friday deals.

P&O Cruises is offering Black Friday discounts of up to 30% on selected sailings between March 3, 2023, and November 23, 2023.

To qualify for the discount, agents must make an Early Saver booking by Tuesday (November 29). The offer includes cruises to northern Europe, the Canary Islands, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Norwegian fjords.

Agents can also boost their Shine Rewards Club balance by earning points every time they ‘spin’ an early saver, late saver and select price booking on Shine Rewards Club between today (November 22) and November 29.

One winner will be chosen at random every day during the week to win 500 Shine points on top of earnings for every booking. One individual will be chosen at random at the end of the promotional period  to win 2,500 Shine points.

P&O Cruises director of sales Ruth Venn said: “We have some incredible offers for agents to promote over Black Friday. With our Shine Rewards Club, agents can spin bookings or be in with a chance to win massive point prizes.”

Royal Caribbean International has introduced a ‘Double Rewards’ incentive on all bookings made for 2023 sailings until November 30. Trade partners in the UK and Ireland who claim a booking via the  Club Royal platform or Club Royal Plus app will see their Rewards doubled.

The double reward means that for an interior or ocean view cabin, agents will receive £/€10, while a balcony cabin will be £/€20 and a suite £/€30. The incentive comes in addition to children sailing for £/€99 for all European and Alaskan summer sailings for 2023 and 2024. Agents will be able to spend using a virtual Mastercard, as with any rewards earned through Club Royal.

APT and Travelmarvel, which operate river cruise, yacht sailings and tours, have launched a Black Friday campaign offering discounts of up to £200 on new 2023 bookings made by Monday (November 28).

Cruises spanning 10 days or more will be discounted by £200, while itineraries lasting fewer than nine days will have a £100 saving.

Travel agents will automatically receive a £50 Love2shop voucher for every new 2023 APT and Travelmarvel booking made between November 21 and November 28.

Until Tuesday, Hurtigruten Norway is halving fares for second guests on the line’s coastal voyages between Kirkenes and Bergen. The 50% saving applies to Classic Voyages between January 1 and May 31, 2023. Prices start from £432.

Guests who take advantage of the Black Friday offer will also receive £130 per person onboard spend.

Seabourn has slashed prices on all published cruises until autumn 2024, with an average saving of £2,500 per suite. The line’s sale ends on December 5, 2022.

One sailing included in the offer is a 14-day Thailand, Vietnam & Malaysia voyage, departing from Singapore on February 19 next year, with prices now from £3,994.

Princess Cruises is offering £50 deposits until November 28 on selected ex-UK sailings next year.

Holland America Line is including gratuities and its Have It All package – featuring speciality dining, the Signature Beverage Package and WiFi – for bookings made before November 27.

The seven-night Mediterranean Rivieras sailing, departing on April 22, 2023, is included in the offer. Prices start at £1,019.

Swan Hellenic has reduced fares on 21 cruises ranging in duration from eight to 32 days. Savings of $2,000 on ocean-view staterooms and $3,000 for balcony staterooms are available for bookings made this year.

Scenic is offering savings of up to £2,450 per person, as well as free private door-to-door transfers, in its Black Friday flash sale, which ends on December 1.

The savings are redeemable when ‘BLACKFRI22’ is quoted at the time of booking.
