Dawson and Sanderson has taken on eight travel consultant apprentices as it looks to develop its workforce.
The northeast-based agency began its apprenticeship scheme in 2011 and has developed it with training partner AS Training.
The apprentices will complete a Level 3 qualification, with each offered a full-time position on completion.
Julie Cloe, Dawson and Sanderson training and development general manager, said: “Our apprenticeship training scheme has always been highly successful, and we are delighted to welcome so many young people to the Dawson & Sanderson family.
“It’s testimony to our approach to training and culture that we still have several employees in our branches who started with us as apprentices”.
She added: “Previous apprentices within the company often go on to become mentors, sharing the knowledge they have learnt throughout their journey and keeping all new team members up to date.
“Each apprentice who has continued their career with the company is seen as an ambassador for what new and aspiring travel consultants can become after completing this course”.
