Hays Travel treats staff to ‘spook-tacular’ Halloween bash

The travel industry has had quite enough scares over the past two years.

But maybe not if you work for Hays Travel, where head office staff today gathered for a frighteningly good office Halloween party in Sunderland.

Ghoulish games, carved pumpkins, decorations and costume competitions were all on the agenda.

Money was raised for childhood cancer charity Neuroblastoma UK, which funds research to develop new treatments.

People director Becky Robson said: “What a ‘spook-tacular’ day at Hays Travel as we celebrate Halloween as one big family.

“Everyone has been in a spooky spirit with our offices decorated to scary perfection and fun and games planned throughout the day.”

Cruise commercial manager Emma Craggs applauded the “spooky spirit” around the office.

“The creepy and hilarious costumes along with the eerie decorations have turned our cheery head office into a glorious nightmare,” she said.

“I can’t wait to tuck into all of the ghoulish goodies that everyone has brought in for the buffet and if I don’t win best dressed there will be hell to pay!”

Harry Linford, long and short haul product assistant, said: “We really enjoyed setting up and planning our Halloween day.

“It’s fab to see how many people have come together to really boost team morale and feel a part of the Hays family.”

Marketing manager Toni Nelson said: “The Hays Travel team have pulled out all the stops. The office looks amazing, the costumes are to die for, and everyone has a buzz about them.”
