Imagine Cruising will be the main sponsor of The World Indoor Bowls Championships, which will take place from January 6, 2023, in Norfolk.
Now called The Imagine Cruising 2023 World Indoor Bowls Championship, the 17-day tournament will see players from around the globe compete at Potters Resorts Hopton-on-Sea, for five separate titles.
As well as the World Singles Championship, the event will include the World Pairs Championship, Mixed Pairs World Matchplay Championship, Ladies World Matchplay Championship and the Under-25s tournaments.
Imagine Cruising staff will attend the tournament to talk to spectators about cruise holidays.
The agency has a history of supporting the game and has sponsored its local team, the Calne Bowls Club in Wiltshire, for six years.
Robin Deller, chief executive of Imagine Cruising, said the event is “the most prestigious competition in the bowls calendar”.
“We are passionate about bowls and have a long association with the sport, with local community interests as well as many staff members participating for fun or a little more seriously,” he commented.
“We know many of our guests share a keen interest in bowls and are looking forward to meeting them across the tournament. We will also have the opportunity to introduce ourselves to a new and exciting audience.”
John Potter, proprietor of Potters Resorts, added: “Their long association with the sport makes them a natural partner and we look forward to hosting the Imagine Cruising team at the resort for what will be our 25th consecutive year of staging this prestigious World event at Potters Resorts Hopton-on-Sea.
