Not Just Travel spending £1m to expand ‘across all areas’

Not Just Travel has announced it is investing a further £1m in recruitment as it looks to expand “across all areas”.

The business, which said it had already spent £2.4m on growing its team since the start of 2022, is also carrying out a restructure.

Co-founder Steve Witt described the latest investment as “incredible”, adding: “We are expanding in all directions, across all areas.”

New roles are being created in operations, marketing, trade, cruise, training and business development.

Meanwhile, operations staff will become “experience managers” as the business bids to make the sale and booking process “far more focused on customer experience”.

Not Just Travel, which describes itself as the UK’s fastest-growing travel franchise, said it had recruited more agents in the first five months of 2023 than in the whole of 2022.

Witt said: “We’ve doubled in size in the last 12 months in both sales and headcount. We plan to double our sales again, but for our next phase we don’t need to double our headcount again we just need to expand our formidable team of A-players.

“We’re restructuring the business with new departments being created some recruiting people from within and some new. Customer experience is the key focus for us now as we centre on managing magical experiences for our valued clients.”

He said this year has been “one of best years yet for travel franchisee recruitment”, adding: “We need to keep up our pace of staff recruitment to ensure we continue to offer the best training, mentorship and support in the industry.”

Co-founder Paul Harrison said: “This incredible investment in people comes hot on the heels of the recent appointments of Chris Harrison as chief commercial officer and Derek Jones as non-executive director.

“With our continued investment in talent and developing our expert team, we will ensure we take the best people in the industry with us on our exciting journey.”
