Top lines recognised in Cruise.co.uk annual awards

Top suppliers have been recognised by Cruise.co.uk in an annual awards ceremony.

P&O Cruises was the standout winner, taking home four awards, including the title of ‘UK’s most popular cruise line’.

A ‘special recognition award’ was presented to Jo Rzymowska to mark her outstanding contribution as Celebrity Cruises’ vice president and managing director EMEA as well as her wider influence across travel during 18 years in the industry.

Awards were also handed out to Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, MSC Cruises, Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Avalon.

The event was staged as part of specialist cruise agency’s 18th annual conference in Obertauern, Austria attended by 30 senior cruise industry personnel.

Chief executive Chris Gardner said: “Our relationships with the cruise lines, and how we work with them, is imperative to the success of our business. The awards allow us to celebrate our successes together.

“It’s equally as important for us to acknowledge what our customers think and to share that insight with the cruise lines.”

Deputy managing director Tony Andrews added: “The team at Cruise.co work incredibly closely with the cruise line suppliers – ensuring we’re offering our mutual customers the best service, offer and product available.

“Our annual conference gives us the opportunity to get everyone together and recognise those partnerships.”

P&O Cruises sales and marketing vice president Rob Scott said: “I’m incredibly proud of the team for winning these awards. To be recognised by Cruise.co.uk and their guests is a real honour, and a reflection of the strength of our product and investment in the partnership with their team.”
