Abta has set up a helpline to give members legal advice on introducing AI into their businesses.
Half an hour of free advice will be delivered by Abta partner Data Driven Legal, which specialises in AI governance and data protection, with any further help being billable to the member.
The helpline is intended for organisations looking to use AI to enhance their products and services but wishing to make sure they follow rules and guidelines.
Abta commercial director Claire Biddle said: “AI is an exciting tool for the industry, but businesses often need support to implement technologies in a compliant and efficient manner.”
The helpline joins seven others provided by Abta partners, with the topics being crisis support, chargeback support, cyber security and data protection, employment law, mergers and acquisitions and financing, training and recruitment, and VAT and the Tour Operators’ Margin Scheme.
The AI helpline will cover a range of compliance measures, including data protection, AI risk assessments, transparency, fairness, accountability and ethical guidelines.
