n BTA hails successful arts cities promotionThe British Tourist Authority claims its recent promotion, British Arts Cities, has been one of its most successful. London, Edinburgh and Bath were the most visited cities in the promotion. Over 90% of visitors went sightseeing and shopping and eating out were favourite activities.

Northampton Borough Council has joined forced with local hotels and visitor attractions to promote Northampton as a destination for weekend breaks. A full-colour brochure has been introduced promoting the weekend breaks.
