n emirates to spearhead use of airbus A3XX
Emirates is to be the launch customer for the 550-seat double-decker Airbus A3XX. The UAE carrier is to take five of the aircraft during 2006/2007, with five more on option. Meanwhile, Emirates increased profits by 4.3% to $122m in the year to March 31.
n easyjet drums up advance internet bookings
EasyJet is encouraging more use of its Web site by insisting passengers booking more than two months in advance of flying only buy tickets on-line. The low-cost airline already takes up to 60% of bookings at www.easyjet.com. Customers departing within two months can still phone the airline direct.
