Tradewinds brochure targets early bookers

LONG-HAUL specialist Tradewinds has launched its 2001 Worldwide brochure three months ahead of schedule in a bid to capture the early-booking market.Deputy managing director Robbie Orr said: “An ever-increasing number of clients – particularly those who want holidays with scheduled flights – like to plan and book well in advance.”
The company has introduced a number of additional cruises in both the Caribbean and South China Seas, including Star Cruises’ Superstar Gemini from Singapore to Penang, Langkawi, Kuala Lumpur and Malacca in Malaysia and Phuket in Thailand.
Another introduction is Carnival Cruise Line’s Fascination, which sails from San Juan to St Thomas, St Martin, Dominica, Martinique and Barbados.
Tradewinds has extended its range of hotels in Thailand, Hong Kong, China, Bali, Malaysia, the Maldives, Sri Lanka, the Caribbean and the US and has introduced additional resorts in Malaysia, such as Pangkor Laut in Pangkor and Damai Laut in Lumut. Also new is a three-day mini-stay in Borneo, from £225 per person, taking in Turtle Island, the orang-utang centre, Sukau and the Gomantong Caves.
A new tour in Sri Lanka is the Ella Adventure and Safari, combining some of the island’s most traditional sites with an adventure safari.
New to the US is The Wyndham Palace Resort and Spa leisure complex in Florida. Prices for 2001 lead in at £399 per person, for a seven-night stay at the Gaddis Hotel in Luxor, Egypt, with departures between April 17 and 30.
