Air Malta has added a Wednesday evening departure from Heathrow for next winter, enabling it to offer a double-daily service from the London airport year round.

The four-star Karanne Aparthotel has opened at St Paul’s Bay. The152-room property – a mix of hotel rooms andself-catering studios and apartments – has a rooftop pool, Jacuzzi and also a sauna.
n GB Airways offers £169 return malta fare
GB Airways is offering a £169 return fare between Gatwick and Malta this month. The stay, for up to 21 days, must include a Saturday night and travel must be finished by July 8.

The four-star, 116-room Waterfront Hotel is about to open in the Gzira area of Sliema. It is featured in Belleair’s summer sun 2000 programme, priced from £368 for a week’s bed-and-breakfast.
n cosmos drops gozo from summer sun 2001
Cosmos has dropped Gozo from its 2001 summer sun programme. This year the destination is featured as a 14-night twin-centre with Malta from £499 for seven nights per person at the San Pawl in Malta and Atlantis in Gozo.

Sabre Airways has launched a thrice-weekly charter service from Gatwick to Malta, using a 189-seat Boeing 737-800, on behalf of Malta operator Bargain Holidays.
