Royal Olympic boosts programme

ROYAL Olympic Cruises claims strong demand has prompted it to boost its summer 2000 programme of mini-cruises in the eastern Mediterranean.

The company was previously planning to offer 95 short cruises this summer, but this number has now been increased to 126.

Head of operations Vic Howlett said: “Our March and April weekend cruise specials resulted in 100% sailings – perhaps an indication that mini-cruises are becoming a popular choice as an alternative to a city break.”

Royal Olympic is offering new four and five-day round-trip itineraries out of Crete on its 294-passenger vessel Stella Oceanis in June, July and August.

The four-day itinerary calls at Santorini, Amorgos, Kos and Bodrum and starts at £357 per person. The five-day voyage sails to Delos, Mykonos, Kusadasi, Patmos, Athens and Hydra. Prices start from £404.

Meanwhile, Royal Olympic has also split an itinerary that is already in its UK programme into two in order to accommodate customers who want to take a shorter cruise.

Five-day itineraries on the 670-passenger Triton start from £418 per person on sailings between June 5 and July 3. Stops include Mykonos, Kusadasi, Patmos and Santorini.

All prices include return flights, transfers, hotel and cruise accommodation including all meals and entertainment on board.
