n west midland co-op opens £1m call centreWestMidlands Co-op has opened a £1m call centre in Walsall. Customers can telephone or e-mail through the company’s Web site to make bookings. The firm has also set up a system on its Web site that allows customers to tell the Co-op of preferred holiday type and dates. Once a suitable package has been found, the client will receive instant notification and the option to book. The Co-op Travel Direct centre employs 40 staff. It opens from 9am-10pm Monday-Saturday, 11am-5pm on Sundays.
n Finnair introduces new-look livery
Finnair has launched a new livery. President and chief executive Keijo Suila said the look would spearhead a drive to outperform Nordic and Scandinavian rivals SAS and Braathens. The airline is keen to keep its Finnish roots but remains committed to enhancing its global alliance, Oneworld, with an improved northern European network.
