Satisfied clients show Go does not engage in barrow-boy tactics
I am writing in response to the letter from Danny Madigan, Bromley Travel (Travel Weekly June 26)Our reservations agentsare trained to listen to determine our customers’ requirements and offer the fare type they think best meets those needs.
This is usually, but not always, the lowest fare.
For example, they may offer a more expensive flexible fare instead of a cheaper Saver fare if they understand that the passenger’s priority is flexibility and not price.
In the case quoted by Danny Madigan, the travel agent initially offered a fully flexible fare, which to Malaga costs £350.
On being told that a cheaper, but more restrictive fare was in fact what the customer required, a two-nighter fare was offered at £200.
Go is proud to offer a highly competitive and transparent fare structure.
We certainly do not engage in barrow-boy tactics, as our many satisfied passengers and partners in the travel trade will testify.
