Humberside improves facilities

HUMBERSIDEInternational Airport has invested £250,000 in improving passenger and security facilities.

Additional check-in desks have been installed in the terminal as passenger numbers grow with extra scheduled and charter flights.

New security screening has also been purchased to speed up check-in and improve safety procedures for passengers. Chairman David Teale said the airport handled its greatest number of passengers last year, with 436,000 customers.

“This investment is vital for the airport’s future,” he said.

The airport has been 82.7% owned by Manchester Airport since June last year. The remaining 17.3% is held by North Lincolnshire Council.
