Doran plans members hike
NEW Campaign for Real Travel Agents chairman Edwin Doran is planning some initiatives to help increase participating agents from 270 to 350.Doran, who took over from Kirker Holidays managing director Chris Kirker, said he planned to hold more regional meetings for CARTA members and invite other local agents.
Doran is also negotiating with an unnamed telecommunications firm to provide Internet access for members who do not have it.
Meanwhile, Doran said CARTA was considering Cork, Vienna and Barcelona as possible destinations for next year’s conference which will be held on the second weekend in June.
