The reports follow the collapse of Festival’s proposed takeover by P&O Cruises, which pulled out of the deal due to a slump in its share price. Festival dismissed the speculation saying it was concentrating on its expansion plans. Costa refused to comment.
n hoverspeed boosts capacity with new ferry
Hoverspeed is set to boost its ferry capacity between Dover and Calais by 30% with the introduction of SeaCat Danmark to the route on August 18. The vessel, which carries 450 people and 90 cars, will operate three round trips a day from Friday to Monday.
