Heape brands ruling ‘toolittle too late’

INDUSTRY stalwart Roger Heape has branded new rules on transparency worthless and called for further Government action.

The British Airways Holidays managing director said the exercise was too little, too late.

Heape, a fierce critic of the Government for its failure to implement the ruling, said: “We’ve been waiting three years for this – then they make a ruling that’s not enough.

“There should be a clear notice on the outside of shops listing all the brands owned by the parent company. I just hope the signage inside the shops makes it all abundantly clear.”

Writing in this week’s Travel Weekly, Heape has described the multiples as little more than car showrooms for their own in-house products.
