Action over Concorde crash is a huge disappointment
This is a sad day for British Airways, and for Britain. Concorde’s reputation over the years has been impeccable and many people will be very disappointed that these measures have been deemed necessary after one crash.Although Concorde is regarded as being elderly, its actual time in the air is fairly low.
The Air France aircraft which crashed last month had only completed 10,500 hours total flight time, compared to the average Boeing 747 flying a third of that every year.
I hope that Concorde can return to service with both BA and Air France at an early date.
