Britannic Travel rolls out new ticketing system for clients

BRITANNIC Travel has introduced a new ticketing system that allows business clients to print their own rail tickets.

RailMaster Ticket Direct has been developed by Galileo in conjunction with the Association of Training Operating Companies and enables travel agents to quickly print rail tickets at a client’s base, while booking and issuing them at a Britannic office.

It enables tickets to be issued right up to the day of travel, making last-minute bookings easier and is available to clients who already have an air ticket printer in place. Britannic claims three major clients have already ordered the technology, which should be installed within the next couple of months.

The business travel agency was one of the first Galileo users to install one of these printers to produce airline tickets five-years ago, with information encoded within magnetic stripes. Satellite technology also enabled airline tickets to be printed on site at the client’s base.
