Travelstore.com targets PAs with booking incentive scheme
travelstore.com, the on-lineagency, is targeting secretaries with a booking incentive scheme called travelpoints.Secretaries and PAs who are responsible for making travel arrangements for their bosses can receive loyalty points that previously would be given to the person taking the trip.
Arecent survey by travelstore.com revealed that 59% of office travel is booked by a secretary rather than the corporate traveller themselves, with only three out of 10 bosses booking their own trips.
Vice-president of sales and marketing Bill Kirkwood said: “It is the boss who receives the Air Miles, not the PA/secretary. We commissioned this survey to understand the role of the PA or secretary, who is key when it comes to booking travel.”
According to the research, 32% of secretaries have to arrange six or more business trips a month, with a massive 96% claiming they had to make up to five changes to each trip.
Two-thirds of those asked booked between one and five business trips a month.
