n ATC updates 2000 travellers guide



The Australian Tourist Commission has updated its 2000 Travellers Guide with the inclusion of a Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games section. Advice on tickets, facilities and events leading up to and during the Games is featured in the new section. Web site panels throughout the guide highlight relevant travel and tourism sites. Budget travel and self-drive holiday information are also included.




n london eye/bateaux london tour packages



British Airways London Eye and Bateaux London/Catamaran Cruisers are offering two different perspectives of London. A sightseeing package offers a ride on the observation wheel with river cruises of the city’s sights. The packages are available from when the wheel opens until September with eight departures a day. A Thames Circular Cruise is available in April leaving from Waterloo Pier Embankment Pier. The service includes a 45min commentary in eight languages and the cruise lasts 50mins.



n hungary launches £250,000 uk campaign



The Hungarian National Tourist Office is launching a £250,000 advertising campaign on London Transport this spring entitled ‘Hungary Welcomes Britain to Beautiful Budapest and Beyond’. Posters are appearing for a month in Tube stations on buses for a month. Later this year, a mail drop to 200,000 UKaddresses will be conducted as part of the advertising campaign.
