* canyon ranch to build floating health spas
US health resort operator Canyon Ranch has announced plans to design and build two floating health spas. The two 320-passenger vessels, to be constructed in Italy, will have spas, gyms, massage and treatment rooms, jogging tracks and rock climbing walls. Canyon Ranch expects to start operating the ships from 2002.
* dfds seaways sees 16% increase in uk passengers
DFDS Seaways has reported a 16% increase in UK passengers last month, compared to the same period last year. Mini-cruise breaks were up by 36%. The ferry operator claimed it was achieving record volumes on its North Sea routes but did not reveal the figures.
* festival cruises offers greek islands flycruise
Festival Cruises is offering a seven-night flycruise to the Greek Islands on Mistral from £745 per person, departing on September 30. The voyage out of Venice calls at Dubrovnik, Katakolon, Santorini, Mykonos, Rhodes and Piraeus. Prices include flights from London Stansted.
