The Board of Airline Representatives in the UK, the trade association for scheduled airlines,has promoted SAS general manager UK, Ireland and Iceland Owe Lowenborg to the position of chairman. United Airlines general manager UK Brandon O’Reilly has also been elected to the post ofvice-chairman.As the new chairman, Lowenborg replacesTurkish Airlines director of UK and Ireland Yavuz Sokemen who held thepost for two years. Lowenborg will be involved in the Civil Aviation Authority’s review of BAA’s London and Manchester airports.

Independent agency group Let’s Go Travel has signed a deal with network supplier Telewest to connect its 41 branches, agency management system and call centre. The network will allow all branches to havereal-time access to client data held at their call centre and to access information from 8amto 8pm.
