Travel Choice Academy targets college leavers
TRAVEL Choice, the retail arm of First Choice, is setting up the Travel Choice Academy for new staff.
Offering a combination of work experience, off-site training and induction programmes, it is aimed at college leavers.
It will provide an 18-month programme, involving retail and holiday rep work experience. Each placement is preceded by an intensive four-week induction programme covering the relevant discipline.
Human resources manager Arnold Elias said: “This will hopefully be appealing to college leavers
“There will be a period in retail and a period overseas as a rep. In this way, people can more easily decide where they think their career should be based.”
Travel Choice has recruited more than 2,000 people since it was established last year. It has around 200 retail outlets, comprising high-street shops and the Travel Choice Express operation in Asda superstores.
