ON THE MOVE:
* David Felwick has been appointed as non-executive chairman of Esprit Holidays following Meg Moore, owner of the company, stepping down. She will continue as a board member and company secretary. Felwick, who is managing director of Waitrose and a director of the John Lewis partnership, has a personal history with Esprit dating back to its foundation in 1983.
* Ayscough Travel has appointed Andrew O’Brien to the newly created position of supplier manager. His main task in this role will be to monitor and manage the performance of service-level agreements with airlines.
* Phillip Moston has been appointed to the new position of sales and marketing director Europe of Choice Hotels Europe. His arrival follows a major restructuring and strengthening of the group’s European sales and marketing division. Danny Thompson has been appointed UK franchise development manager for Choice Hotels Europe. He was previously business development manager with Whitbread.
* George Dick has been promoted to managing director of the Leamington-based Travel Management Group. Dick, who was once deputy managing director of Lunn Poly, joined the company as sales director five years ago.
