TAT bolsters campaign
THE Tourism Authority of Thailand has added the latest string to its Amazing Thailand bow with the launch of a new catchphrase ‘So Much to Smile About’.
TAT marketing and PR manager, UK and Ireland, Chris Lee said: “The latest campaign will hopefully remind people why Thailand is known as the land of the smiles.
“Yes, Thailand does have fantastic beaches, temples and shopping, but when you ask people what it is that reminds them of Thailand, it always comes back to the people.”
In conjunction with this month’s marketing plan, TAT is running its biggest ever London Underground advertising campaign, with over 700 poster sites around the capital.
UK and Ireland still has the strongest overseas market for Thailand, with UK arrivals figures for January to May this year, up by 12.3% on last year, bringing the number of arrivals to May to 202,396.
