Service update
Canada 3000 to offer pre-allocated seating
Report by LOUISE LONGMAN
TRAVEL agents will be able to offer passengers pre-allocated seats on all Canada 3000 flights next year.
The decision to introduce the service at no extra cost follows customer requests.
The airline’s director UK and Ireland Roxanne Schumacher said the delay in launching the service was due to ensuring technology in Canada and UK was up to scratch.
The airline’s competitor, Air Canada which bought Canadian Airlines earlier this year, has been offering the service for at least five years.
Schumacher said: “Following customer demand and industry competition, Canada 3000 waited to introduce Advance Seat Reservation until its Canadian and UK technology systems were standardised, so ensuring seamless computerised efficiency from both sides when performing the ASRfunction.”
From January 4 Canada 3000’s customers will be offered the chance to pre-book group and family seats, as well as aisle and window seats.
