Ryanair saves in Galileo exit
Your recent story (TravelWeekly October 2) about Ryanair’s problems since it took its itineraries off Galileo.
Ryanair’s exit from Galileo has brought huge savings and Galileo segments have migrated onto the Net as well as Worldspan and Sabre.
Savings have been reinvested into lower fares on ryanair.com, delivering over 30% growth this year.
I note Galileo’s proposal for a low-cost product has not materialised, which is not unexpected from a company only interested in raising costs.
