NCLto undergo fleet changes
NORWEGIANCruise Line has announced several deployment changes for both its fleet and Star Cruises’ fleet.
From November next year, Star Cruises, which owns a 60% share of NCL (Travel Weekly February 21), will transfer its ship SuperStar Leo to NCL’s fleet.
The ship will be renamed before offering seven-day, year-round cruises in Hawaii, a new destination for NCL. It will be the only large, new four-star ship offering this service. This will coincide with NCL’s flagship, Norway, which will be transferred into Star Cruises’ fleet.
NCL is also refurbishing Norwegian Sun, so it can offer Freestyle cruising from September next year. The Freestyle concept has been introduced to boost passenger choices, such as 24-hour dining.
