Thomson to appoint Scottish sales manager
THOMSON will appoint its long-awaited Scottish sales manager next month as it looks to build closer links with agents north of the border.
The operator is currently interviewing candidates for the post, which will give Thomson a permanent presence in Scotland. A number of overseas reps are also being given product training to encourage closer links with the trade.
Meanwhile, sales director Manuel Mascarenhas said its Preferred Agent review has been delayed by the complexity of some agent deals.
He said: “We are talking to agents about their performance in brochured sales, lates and about their ability to sell across the product range.”
