Golden Sun signs summer 2001 charter deal with UK operators

GOLDEN Sun Cruises will charter one of its vessels to UKtour operators for the 2001 season.

The deal has been struck by Golden Sun’s UK general sales agent, Seafarer Cruising and Sailing Holidays, between three UK operators – Travelscope, Festive Holidays and Victoria Travel.

The operators will exclusively charter the 335-cabin Aegean Spirit between July and August next year.

Travelscope will offer an eight-night Summer Sunshine cruise, departing on July 21, 29 and August 6 from Plymouth.

It will call at Lisbon, Cadiz, Gibraltar, Tangiers, Morocco and Portimao before returning back to Plymouth. Prices for this cruise lead in at £399 per person.

Victoria Travel will offer two cruises including a 12-night Norwegian Fjord cruise, from June 26 and an 11-night Mediterranean Odyssey departing June 15.

It will sail from Athens calling at Naples, Civitavecchia, Ajaccio, Malaga, Cadiz, Lisbon, Jersey and finishing at Dover. Lead-in prices start from £1,299 per person.

Festive Holidays will offer cruises to the land of the midnight sun as well as Madeira and the Canary Islands.

The joint Travelscope and Festive Holidays charter offers an enchanting Mediterranean cruise, leaving on August 26.

Lead-in prices for all three cruises start at £799 per person, based a twin-share economy inside cabin.
