Qantas/BA codeshares boost winter schedules
Alliance partners British Airways and Qantas have added eight joint-weekly connecting flights via Singapore to Australia this winter.
Between them, they will offer an extra four services weekly from Singapore to Brisbane and Perth, operated by Qantas Boeing 767 aircraft.
They all connect with the carriers’ Heathrow and Singapore codeshare departures.
The additions are part of revised schedules offering greater choice and flexibility, and are being phased in over the next six weeks.
Refinements also see an overall increase of four services weekly from Heathrow to Sydney, bringing the total to 24 a week and offering a choice of daily morning and evening departures and arrivals.
Qantas is also launching a dedicated UK Web site at World Travel Market as part of its existing global site www.qantas.com.au.
The carrier celebrates its 80th birthday at WTM this year. It will be exhibiting with the Australian Tourist Commission for the second time at WTM. Several key representatives from corporate and leisure sales will be on the stand.
