Creative Travel Systems puts office management product on the @genda
TRAVELtechnology firm Creative Travel Systems is moving away from travel-specific products with the launch of its new office-management Web-based system @genda.
Key features include a central database for storing contract, customer and document information. These can be accessed for marketing or security purposes to check clients’ details.
Creative Travel Systems sales and marketing manager Steve Graham said the new system will be of use to agents, but hoped it would also enjoy wider appeal.
He said: “We are marketing this new product as a low-cost solution for all businesses that want something affordable which can then be tailored specifically to all of their business needs. It removes the need to constantly upgrade applications, PCs or networks, which in turn removes a major amount of associated costs in supporting and maintaining any such Information Technology infrastructure.”
Graham hopes to attract the 40% of independent travel agents which he claims are still reliant on paper systems or outdated computer technology.
He said @genda was a by-product of TourMagic, a new tour operator system currently under development and due for launch at the end of the year.
