Time Off expands short break programme

CITY-BREAK specialist Time Off has
added six cities to its 2001 programme to meet the growing demand for short
breaks.

Cannes, Monte Carlo, Ghent, Antwerp,
Zurich and Marrakech are all new and take the choice of cities on offer up to
37. There are also additional hotels in popular cities like New York, Barcelona
and Paris and new tailor-made self-drive packages based on travel by ferry or
Eurotunnel for independent travellers.

“We had such a lot of demand
for Ghent and Antwerp last year even though they were not in the brochure that
we decided to include them for 2001,” said reservations manager Wendy
Holiday. “Ghent is a good alternative to

Bruges, which is always very busy,
and people are looking for somewhere a bit different,” she added.

Holiday said New York, Paris and
Barcelona are selling very well, with Barcelona now the third best-selling city
after Paris and Amsterdam.

“Bookings
to the city are 30% up on the same time last year,” she said.
